Lynda Williams was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) last May whilst fighting a bout of Covid 19. She was very ill for 10 days in isolation in ICU while the medical team pumped her with 15 Chemotherapy treatments. She survived and suffered many side effects of the chemo, keeping her in hospital for 5 months. She has been unable to work due to her weakness and compromised immune system.
She has just received a bone marrow transplant which should see her with a future to be able to led a normal life.
However, she will not be able to go back to her teaching job until at least July 2026.
Without her wage the family will struggle to meet financial commitments. It would be much appreciated if we could reach the goal of $60,000. to help her out as she recovers from the transplant and chemo treatments and regains her strength. Thank you.
