This is my home. I bought it 4 years ago after my husband died. I am in danger of losing it due to hardship and rising costs. I am almost 69 years old, disabled with COPD and bad hips. I have a beloved cat named Mookie (moo-key) and a very loving little dog named Davie. Here are pictures of them.
- We are at risk of losing our home and being forced out onto the streets, homeless. We will have to leave behind everything we own and walk (literally) away with nothing more than I can carry. We won't survive living on the street, plain and simple. Without your help this is our future. I have faithfully made my mortgage payments since buying my home. Last year I made a bad business investment trying to improve our circumstances, barely making ends meet. This investment into a drop shipping venture was suppose to provide us with an additional passive income but turned out to be pretty much a scam. To make the investment I took out a line of credit and a PayPay credit card for online purchases only and paid the $4,000 required to get started with the business. I was a fool for letting myself get taken in by promises of a monthly extra income. Anyone can do it they said. All it got me was $4,000 in debt and high credit payments. For months I managed to make the payments but they left me very little cash for anything else, but I was trying. Then 1 month I made my mortgage payment like always but what I didn't know until it was too late, the bank had returned my payment. When I realized what had happened it was too late. I had used the money to make extra payments on my credit cards and there were no funds left to remake the mortgage payment. I should have caught it by reason of being able to make extra payments but for whatever reason, it didn't connect in my brain. When I did realize what had happened I called my mortgage company and explained what had happened. I agreed to make up the payment when I received my check on the 4th Wednesday of that month. It took my entire check and I was facing another payment in a few days on the 1st, which also took almost my entire check. I had no money left for my utilities payments or credit card payments so I was behind on everything. They were going to shut off my power, water, and trash service. I was racking up late fees on my credit cards increasing my payments. Again, I called my mortgage company and applied for deferment. I was granted deferment for three months and while my application was under review. I used the cash to pay down my credit balances and stock up on groceries. I'm not eligible for food assistance. My application for deferment didn't meet with approval and I am now faced with again having to make 2 mortgage payments to bring my loan current. I don't understand where the extra payment is coming from. I was defeated for 3 months yet they are forcing me to make November's payment and my mortgage payments are going to increase. I am desperate for your help and if you don't help me I am going to lose the house and everything I own including my beloved pets, they can't live on the streets, I won't even be able to take care of myself, let alone y animals. I will be forced to find someone who can take them in or surrender them to the shelter and I would rather die. Please help help us stay in our home and together. Anything you can give I will be greatly grateful for. Please, please help us!! Thank you. My goal is $4,000 to make extra mortgage payment and extra credit card payments to bring my balances down and make my payments more doable. Bless all of you.
