Lyme disease treatment

It has been a difficult choice to come forward and explain to everyone why I decided to sign up for "Go Fund Me". At this time I am forced to reach out and raise money for the treatment of my chronic Lyme disease.

I have Cronic Lyme disease and I suffer  from many Lyme symptoms, such as extreme chronic fatigue, cognitive impairment, joint pain, mood swings, muscle pain, and neurological problems. Many days I feel like my head is in a cloud and I am disoriented. I wake up with severe joint stiffness and numb hands. There have been many weeks when I am in bed one to two days at a time from the pain and fatigue I experience through out my body.

The first basic treatment was rounds of antibiotics that only seemed to help for a short time. I have located a Lyme specialist in Clearwater, FL. He is extremely knowledgable when it comes to treating Lyme disease  & terminally ill cancer patients. His consultation fee is $350.00 which I have managed to save and will be seeing him June 15, 2016. At that point there will be extensive testing to tailor a treatment for me. The testing, I am told will be in a range of $4,000. plus. The monthly treatment will be over $4,000. and could take several months. Unfortunately this type of treatment is not covered by the insurance I carry.

I am sure you can imagine having any type of disease can make a person feel helpless and dramatically changes one's life and out look. My family is not close by but I have a few great friends and a roommate that helps me with my four year old daughter. I am a single mom, I receive sporadic child support and at this time can no longer work. I desperately want to be a mom and get the life back I once had.
