Hi friends and family! And family and friends of friends and family. Some of you may know this story already, and some of you may not! I am raising money for my Partner, Derek to receive a treatment for his Lyme disease called LymeStop. For those of you who don't know- Derek contracted Lyme disease when he was 14. It affected him severely at the time, manifesting as Bells Palsy, and a myriad of gastrointestinal issues to follow for much of his teenage and adult life.

In November 2020, we both got Corona Virus for the first time (out of the two times we have had it) and it seems that this flared his Lyme, that he didn't even know was still present in his body. Since then, he has been through the ringer with his health. What started as a herniated disc and crippling sciatica, has evolved into extreme fatigue and brain fog, memory problems, constant gastro intestinal symptoms, running fevers often, celiac disease and a million food sensitivities, and migraines. In addition- extreme sensitivity to mold exposure which we uncovered in the place we live this past summer. He has been extremely limited with working due to his unpredictable condition. We have seen countless doctors and emergency rooms, worked with naturopaths, herbalists, acupuncturists, therapists, you name it. Some things have helped and others have done the opposite. So much money has been spent, for very little relief, and he has had more sick days in the past 2 years than good days.

We are determined, but are in need of some help from our community. The treatment we are pursuing costs $3800 and is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Our flights will be around $700-$900 roundtrip and accommodation while we are there will run around $500-$600 for 4 days, plus processing fees.
