Hi! I'm Abby and since my lyme account @kickoutlyme on Instagram has gained over 1200 followers in just two weeks and I have talked to SO many different people, I decided to start this project I have been thinking about for awhile. I want to raise at least $1,000 to give out to one of my followers to help support their treatment. Treatment is extremely expensive and is not covered by insurance. Antibiotics are the only thing covered by insurance, but they are not for very long. For example all of mine are not covered anymore. It puts so many people with this illness into debt trying to pay for appointments, medication, herbals, vitamins, physical therapy, chiropractics, massage, saunas, red light therapy, etc... There is a lot that goes into treatment and leaves most people's bank accounts dry. Treatment isn't short either so almost everyone with this illness is forced to pay hundreds to thousands a month for treatment for usually years! I want to be able to help someone, even if it's just a little bit of money. I will not just be randomly giving out this money. I will ask that anyone interested in getting the money, posts about the fundraiser and sends me or posts about why they need it and how they would use it for their treatment. To also be sure, I will most likely be asking for proof that they are paying for treatment every month. This money is meant to help for treatment, not just give away 1,000 or(hopefully) more randomly. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to reading everyones stories!!!
