Lyme Disease Treatment Needed for Kristen Mitchell

Hi and welcome. Thanks for being here. I'm about 8 months into receiving my Lyme Disease diagnosis. It has recently become apparent I need better treatment as the disease progresses - the neurological aspects being the scariest right now. Thankfully, I have a very good Lyme Literate Physician who is working hard to get me into remission. But, I have to do new treatment which means it is going to take funds - and unfortunately, if you know the world of Lyme Disease, you know this means fundraising and applying to grants and hoping and praying you can find a way to get the treatment that you so dearly need while simultaneously just trying to make it through each day.

I am so thankful for the continued love and care of people near and far - you get me through on days when it feels impossible. Thank you dearly to those who journeyed with me before I had a diagnosis when my symptoms began a couple years ago in Indiana. You bore witness to my pain and tears and illness and confusion. And to all those I've met since and to the ones who so sweetly continue to be by my side in these unending months, thank you. On days when I feel better, thank you for cheering me on. In my sickest moments, thank you for holding me. Whether in presence or spirit (or phone call), thank you to those who have sat next to me when I'm on the ground in pain; who have opened my medicine when my hands won't work; and who have held me patiently when my brain won't let me talk. And thank you to all who have supported financially to get me this far.
