Lyle Longhouse Rebuild

We, The Native Americans of The Lyle Longhouse, are asking for your help.

 We lost our sacred place of gathering due to a fire March 2020. That was the sacred place where we held ceremonial gatherings. This was very tragic for the Natives that live here and surrounding areas.

( A Longhouse is like a Church for Native Americans, where we hold ceremonial feasts, wedding and funerals) 

 Due to the pandemic, planning was put on hold. Now we are starting the planning and prep for the  rebuild of Lyle Long house that we hope to be around for years to come.  We are taking all steps to be safe with Covid.

Lyle Longhouse rebuild will include:

Building

·     Longhouse structure with mostly concrete foundation. Building includes a kitchen where meals are prepared and bathroom.

Kitchen

·       Cabinets

·       Shelves

·       Stove

·       Large Fridge and Freezer

·       Cooking utensils

·       Cutting boards

·       Knives, spoons, forks

·       Pots and pans

·       Serving Bowls and plates

And any other kitchen items that will be used to prepare meals

Other items we need

·       Folding chairs

·       Large folding tables

·       Wood benches

 Please donate to our Lyle Longhouse rebuild if you can. We understand that not everyone will be able to donate money but may have items that can be. We invite you to reach out to Star Tennison to offer items or if you want to volunteer. She will keep a list of contacts of items as well as volunteers.
