Hi, my name is Jessica. I am Lyla's aunt. Our family is still very much grieving the devastating loss of our beautiful Lyla bug, and our hearts will be forever missing a Lyla size puzzle piece that no one can fill or replace. Although my brother (Lyla's father) had no intention of asking for hand outs during this difficult time, we have had numerous people reach out asking to help in any way they can. Family, friends and even people we have never personally met, wanting to help, just shows how bright of a light our Lyla girl truly was. In addition to final expenses, we ask for financial support for my brother Josh so he may take the time he needs to grieve the unimaginable loss of his baby girl. We are also actively wanting to change the broken system inside-out, and do what we can to prevent further unnecessary tragedies. We urge the government to do their due diligence when investigating baseless allegations made by mothers against fathers, and are wanting nothing more than loving fathers to be able to keep their rights as fathers. We ask that you fight with us. We are naming this cause Lyla's Law.
We want to thank everyone for supporting us and allowing us to lean on you in this uncertain time. We know Lyla is with Jesus, and she is no longer in pain, and is shining bright from above.
Although our hearts are torn, we will praise you in this storm.
-The Cassel Family, The Dalton Family & everyone who loved Lyla like she was their own.
