In August 2026 we are taking on the challenge of walking the Lyke Wake Walk in attempt to raise funds for Anna Halls private treatment of stage 4 cancer.
The Lyke wake walk is a long-distance walk across the North York Moors, covering 40 miles (65km). Starting in Scarth Wood Moor and finishing in Ravenscar on the coast. The walk is to be carried out non-stop walking with the aim to complete in less than 24 hours.
In February 2023 Anna was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer after a mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation and the fight of her life she got the all clear in March 2024.
That was until June 2024 when scans revealed it had returned as stage 4 (terminal). what next? To go back on treatment until It stops working, with a life expectancy of around 3 years.
With a life she loves, a beautiful family and 3 now 4 year old daughter Anna did not accept this deadline and began searching for other things she could do to fight her cancer.
She fell down the holistic route and after research of her own stumbled on her private team. They showed her cancer is not just fought by chemo and harsh treatments but by addressing the root cause. Genetic faults, diet, cortisol levels, lifestyle all play huge roles. They looked at tackling the cancer hollsitically, not dismissing her treatment which 100% had its place but by integrating other treatments to fight cancer from all angles.
For someone who was told she would not have made it to Christmas from the state of her bloods her private treatment has given her a lifeline. It has helped stabilise her bloods and tumour markers and work with her body to tackle the route causes head on including diet, lifestyle, weight loss, genetic factors.
Her latest results showed her CEA markers are on the rise so her NHS treatment is no longer working, this means Anna has remained stable these last 17 months primarily from diet and lifestyle and now that’s under control we want to hit the cancer head on finding what treatments will work and give her the best outcome and that’s were the RGCC test comes in.
The problem is these treatments are not on the NHS and cost a lot of money. The RGCC test alone costs £2700 on top of around £2000 a month she spends on treatment.
You can’t put a price on health but Anna pays for this all by herself and partner Jon working extremely hard while trying to keep a home and family and fighting stage 4 cancer. It is exhausting and with one of the biggest factors contributing to her cancer being cortisol levels, we decided to try help her cover some of these costs.
So we need your help, whether or not you can afford to donate, by sharing our fundraiser, liking and commenting on our socials, your support could help us fund this lifesaving treatment, to kick cancer in the ass one last time and reach the end goal (NED- no evidence of disease).
