Lydia's family

Lydia's family needs help to cover burial cost and cremation expenses for her mom.

Lisa Christine Axson, born 2/26/1967 in Charlotte, NC, was the mother of two, Lydia Lewis and Ashley Kendrick. She lived in St. Augustine, Florida, primarily but spent her last days of life in the Atlanta area with her children and their fathers, James Axson and Sam Kendrick. Lisa struggled with addiction for most of her life. She was homeless and estranged from her friends and family when she found out about her stage 4 Melanoma diagnosis in July 2022. She passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Emory Decanter Hospital at the young age of 55 years. It all happened quickly, giving her girls little time to spend with her or make final arrangements.

Lisa was a lover of crafts, plants, and delicate and beautiful things. Her ashes will be buried at Grandview Baptist Church in beautiful Marshall, NC. We ask that you donate what you can so that her girls can do what they can to lay their mother to rest without worrying about what comes next.
