We are coming together to honour the memory of our much loved colleague and friend Lydia Ward, who passed away unexpectedly on the 7th November 2025 at just 29 years old. Lydia was a devoted mum to her 2 year old little boy, Theo, who she enjoyed taking everywhere on days out, walks and playdates with friends. Lydia was excited to be marrying Shaun later this year in August. Her life was full of plans, promise, and so much love.

At work, she was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into. Warm, funny, and endlessly positive, she had a natural ability to lift others up. She was popular across the whole team and had a bright future ahead of her. Losing her has left a space that can never truly be filled.

To celebrate her life and create something lasting in her memory, we will be completing the Three Edges Walk – Derwent, Stanage, and Bamford Edges Circular. We’re raising funds to place a memorial plaque, plant a tree in her honour, and also to buy something special for her little boy, Theo, so he always has a piece of his mum’s love to hold onto.

Lydia was taken away from us all far too soon and life will never feel the same without her around.
