Lydia Carroll Love Offering
My sister, Lydia, lost her husband, Jackie Carroll, on Sunday to a massive heart attack. It was unexpected and in all the ways you can be unprepared for such a loss, Lydia was and is unprepared. Lydia was so distraught that they kept her the last two nights in the hospital. She was released this morning to help make Jackie's arrangements.
I know there are many of you out there that know and love this couple. They have lots of family and friends. They were evangelists for decades and Jackie is still called to come preach for some of you. They most recently have been pastoring a small home church in Ferriday, LA.
Sadly, Jackie did not have a life insurance policy. There are expenses now and there will be more. My sister has never worked and is full of fear about the direction of her life without the husband she has had for basically all of her life. I think they were 17 when they married. There is a car note for their vehicle which she fears will be repossessed leaving her with no transportation. There is their new shed which she will probably just have them come and get. There will be utilities to pay and groceries to buy until she can get turned around and figure out which way is forward. If you can, give anything. Large or small. $5 or $500. I promise you she needs support in this time of sorrow and she will be eternally grateful -- as will we all for anything you can do.
Jackie's service is 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at the Jigger Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow with a brief graveside service at Jackie and Lydia's church, Shady Acres Apostolic Church in Levins Addition, Ferriday, LA. Any food, flowers, or gifts can be taken to Jigger Apostolic Church on Thursday morning. Or you can gift Lydia directly here.
