Help Lydia and Sirius Stay Afloat

My name is Lydia, and I'm a single parent to an awesome kid, Sirius, here in Bloomington IN. A month ago I was laid off from my work where I had been for just over a year.

Some of you may know that I suffer from a chronic pain disorder that greatly effects my life and my work. For many years I worked in the service industry, in kitchens as a cook and a server. And while those jobs are easy to find, after multiple surgeries and years of chronic pain my body isn't capable of sustaining it anymore. That, coupled with the cost of living, had made finding a job that meets my needs extremely challenging. The jobs that pay well enough have lengthy hiring processes and luck has been scarce despite my efforts.

It's for all these reasons that I ask my community for help, in any way possible, to help my stay on my feet during this time. All of the proceeds go directly towards rent, utilities, and basic expenses for Sirius and myself. Thank you all for listening, reading, donating, sharing, and sending love to us.

I am thankful to have started a new job back in February, however I did take a massive paycut and now owe my landlords several thousand dollars. I am doing everything I can to pay them off but the simple fact is, I'm barely keeping my bills paid as it is. Thank you all so much for the incredible amount of support I received, it's so hard to reach out a second time but I do feel it's necessary.
