Jacqueline Seiden Hill - Memorial Fund
Our community has lost one of its greatest activist for mental health and a true angel. As some of you know my wife Jacqueline Hill was ill and under care for sometime. She has peacefully passed. I am just now getting around to planning a service in her memory.
Family and friends will miss her. I miss her ... I know she will continue on with me and others in spirit. I will forever hold her close to my heart, always. She was a kind spirit who always looked out for others and served those she could. As her father eloquently stated, “I thought about my daughter, Jacqueline Hill, who was the embodiment of caring and helping. Working her way through her MSW degree she grew and sold organic vegetables to the budding organic food purveyors. As a professional she gave herself to helping others (especially battered women) and, at times, at the risk of her own life. She was spiritual and volunteered to bring this nature to others. She embraced Native American spirituality. Sadly, as you know, Jacqueline was stricken with early-onset Alzheimer’s a few years ago and could no longer help others, except with her love”.
She was a mental health clinician, and ironically she fell victim to the debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s. This past year she required 24/7 care and therefore was in a Healthcare Facility with skilled nurses. In taking on those costs these past several years I have incurred medical expenses that frankly have left me broke, even with insurance. Hence, the ask.
God needed another angel and it was time to fly home. You will be forever missed Jacqueline. Thank you all for your kindness, generosity and support during this difficult time.
Rest in Peace Jacqueline.
