My cousin Samantha and her now husband Garrett's story is like something out of a best selling novel. These two amazing people met 5 years ago at a church function. After a year of great friendship, the two decided to commit their lives to each other and began the most romantic love story that I have ever witnessed. 
 Shortly after deciding to begin a relationship together, Garrett became very ill. Garrett and Samantha endured hospital visit after hospital visit for years. All the while Samantha stuck by his side and was determined to be the best girlfriend she could be, regardless of his condition. It's no wonder that Garrett asked this amazing woman to be his wife.. 
 Not too long ago, Garrett received a heart transplant. For a while he was doing very well, but it was not long before his body began to reject the heart.. 
He fought. He fought hard. His body began to recover, until one day he went in for a stomach ache. To protect the privacy of the newly weds, I will not give to many details.. but after over 100 days in the intensive care unit, his body cannot take it any longer.
 When I got the call I was in shock.. she was so scared, and yet she held herself together better than anyone could have. She knew she had to be strong for him. We rushed to the hospital where he was being kept. That night she and Garrett decided to take the next step in what's left of their lives together and decided to get married. They wanted to be one, no matter how little time they had. "Even if it's only for a moment.. I want to be able to call him mine" she said with tears running down her face.
 The next day(just yesterday), with myself as her Maid of Honor, Garrett and Samantha were wed in his hospital room with our family present. It was a beautiful ceremony and I am so grateful I had the chance to witness them finally become husband and wife.
 As I write this, my beautiful cousin sits hand in hand with her husband, praying for a miracle.. he does not have much time. The doctors have asked us to begin figuring out his final wishes and how to take care of his final expenses.. As you can imagine, this is not how my cousin expected to spend her honeymoon. In order to give them as much time as possible together, I have volunteered to take care of some of the matters myself.. 
 We need to raise $1000 to complete all of Garrett's last wishes and cover final expenses .. this has all been very tough on her and Garrett, and anything you all could help with would be greatly appreciated. It would be a major relief to the both of them in their time of need, and it would mean so much to us all if anyone could help..
