Wayne's Donation Fund for medicine

My name is Sandra Reid Cryder and I am married to the love of my life Harvey "Wayne"Cryder.  Back in 2005 he was diagnosed with COPD.  As the years went by, he had gotten worse.  Doctors had said that he was getting the best medicine and not getting better.  The next thing was a double lung transplant.  Very scary.  We were sent to Emory University Hospital and after extensive test put on the transplant list.  On January 10th we got the call that they had lungs.  We left everything to get to the hospital.  We live 125 miles from Atlanta, Georgia.  The surgery went great and doctors were amazed at how well he did.  Then he started to have a problem.  It was his colon.  When the problem was found, he had to have emergency surgery or would not live thru the night and could not guarantee he would make it thru the night but he did.  They had to remove 3/4 of his colon.  He will have to have another surgery down the road to connect the intestines to what is left of his colon.  This has been a long road and is going to be even longer before he is totally well.  We have been in the hospital since January 10 and not sure when he will get out.  Hopefully soon then home health care will have to come in.  It will be great to be home and our own bed.  He will be on anti rejection medicines for the rest of his life.  I have not been able to work since January 10th.  We are getting by but have to make sure he has his medicine and health insurance and a good running vehicle for trips we will be making back and forth to doctor appointments.  I would like to thank anyone who makes a donation what ever the amount.  It will be appreciated.
