Sara's Miracle

Sunday evening our 20 year-old daughter Sara was in a severe car accident that could have easily taken her life. Her car rolled multiple times down an embankment off interstate 540. Her beloved Cobalt is an unrecognizable red ball.
For all that could have happened, Angels were with Sara, and she was able to unbuckle herself from the upside-down wreckage and crawl to safety. As she opened her eyes, emergency personnel were already arriving on scene. Sara tried to stand and realized nothing worked.
She was airlifted to Little Rock for a surgery on a devastatingly shattered pelvis. Miraculously, that was her only injury from the whole crash.
Doctors operated on Tuesday to anchor her pelvis and sacrum, and by Friday, Sara was sitting in regular chair, snuggling a teddy bear again! We were told it would be a week before she could come home, but this morning Sara was released!
She will be in a wheelchair for several weeks, possibly up to three months, and will be in intense physical rehab to learn to walk again for several weeks after that.
We have moved her into our home, which we have fully equipped for wheelchair access and comfort.
This is a very long process, and the bills have already started to come in. Luckily, Sara is on our insurance and a significant portion of her bills will be covered. For everything else we will be working extra, raising money, and hosting this fund site to help us make as many payments as possible before Sara is back out on her own.
This is a terrible debt for a 20 year old to set out her adult life with, so we will be doing everything we can to help her.
All money aside though, Sara is incredibly blessed. Her life was spared in this tragic accident. She is in good spirits and can sit with us for dinner, watch TV on our couch and sleep in her own bed. Your prayers have all been heard and our sweet babygirl has reaped the blessings of the Lord.
