Luz Maria Melillo, 56, of Denver, CO, passed away on January 9th, 2021 after a battle with Covid-19.  Luz was born on February 5th, 1964 to Jose & Graciela Rico in Denver, CO. 
She has worked in the Denver Public Schools for over 20 years, most recently with Cheltenham Elementary.  She loved her job at school but even more loved her time with her family.   
Their family was not prepared to lose Luz as she was in stable health up until very recently. This has come as a shock to her family and they are in need of assistance from their friends and community. The funds will be used to cover the cost of cremation and any costs associated with her memorial service.
