Luz a nuestra vida

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Neus, tengo 35 años y soy mamá de un pequeñín de 3 años. Vivimos en un hermoso rincón rodeado por la naturaleza, a las afueras de nuestra montaña sagrada Montserrat. En casa compartimos este maravilloso espacio con otra familia: Montse, su hijo Marc y su madre Mariló.

Para nosotros, la vida en comunidad es una bendición. Como mamás solteras, nos apoyamos mutuamente en todo lo que podemos, especialmente en la crianza de nuestros hijos, creando un ambiente de amor, confianza y cooperación. Nos llena de alegría criar a nuestros niños en contacto directo con la naturaleza, de la forma más respetuosa y natural posible. Recogemos agua de lluvia, reciclamos todo lo que podemos y utilizamos baño seco para cuidar el recurso más valioso: el agua.

Hace un tiempo, decidimos apostar por la energía solar para tener luz en nuestra casa, instalando placas solares y baterías (aunque todavía sigo pagando por ellas). Sin embargo, como nuestro pueblo no recibe mucho sol, especialmente en invierno, dependemos del generador, lo que ha generado grandes gastos que no podemos seguir manteniendo.

Después de mucho esfuerzo y reflexión, hemos decidido conectarnos a la red eléctrica, pero el coste de la instalación es de 6300€, una cantidad que no podemos asumir por nosotras mismas. La vida, siempre generosa, nos ha enviado un ángel que nos prestará el dinero, pero debemos devolverlo y, con los pagos de las placas solares aún pendientes, nos está resultando muy difícil hacer frente a todo esto.

Es por eso que hoy nos dirigimos a ustedes, con mucha humildad y esperanza, para pedir su apoyo. Cualquier aportación, por pequeña que sea, nos ayudará enormemente a resolver esta situación. Nos encantaría seguir siendo las guardianas de este lugar tan especial, cuidando el bosque y los animales que habitan en él, pero sin luz, nuestra vida aquí se ha vuelto insostenible.

Hello! My name is Neus, I am 35 years old, and I am the mother of a little boy who is 3 years old. We live in a beautiful spot surrounded by nature, on the outskirts of our sacred mountain, Montserrat. In our home, we share this wonderful space with another family: Montse, her son Marc, and her mother Mariló.

For us, community life is a blessing. As single mothers, we support each other in everything we can, especially in raising our children, creating an environment of love, trust, and cooperation. We are filled with joy raising our children in direct contact with nature, in the most respectful and natural way possible. We collect rainwater, recycle everything we can, and use a composting toilet to care for the most valuable resource: water.

Some time ago, we decided to invest in solar energy to have electricity in our home by installing solar panels and batteries (though I am still paying for them). However, since our village doesn’t get much sun, especially in winter, we depend on the generator, which has led to significant costs that we can no longer sustain.

After much effort and reflection, we have decided to connect to the electricity grid, but the installation cost is €6,300, an amount we cannot cover on our own. Life, always generous, has sent us an angel who will lend us the money, but we need to repay it, and with the solar panel payments still pending, it’s been very difficult to handle all of this.

That’s why we are reaching out to you today, with great humility and hope, to ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us enormously to resolve this situation. We would love to continue being the guardians of this special place, taking care of the forest and the animals that live in it, but without electricity, our life here has become unsustainable.
