Myself, Shahed, Kamal, Mostaque, Shamim, Khudael, 2 Sujels, Mugsy, Naheem, Rana, Mitu, Jimmy, Gias, Aziz, Rizwan, Nabeel, Aminur, Abdal and Muhibur have teamed up with our Luton Lions Community to embark on an EPIC TREK in aid of the people of Bangladesh. Recent flash floods have left over 75% of the Sylhet Division of Bangladesh under water. Families and livelihoods have been decimated in a matter of days...and we wanted to do something to help. The devastation is of epic proportions...so we needed an EPIC challenge to get those donations coming in thick and fast. On Sunday 3rd July we will be embark on a 37 MILE Run/Jog/Walk/Crawl from Luton…to the heart of British Bangladeshis...Brick Lane and nearby Aftab Ali Park (others will be joining us enroute at different points). It will take us the best part of 12 hours if we're lucky, but with the help of our fellow Luton Lions we will get to the finish...and make a difference.

 

We've also come together with a host of local organisations, businesses, and leaders to try to do something together. The funds will be held by Bangladesh Youth League (RCN 1109719), and will be distributed to local charities on the ground, in and around Sylhet, where the need is greatest. We have formed a small committee to ensure funds are distributed in a completely transparent manner. Bangladesh Youth League will be donating 100% of fund's received.
