Luthun Restaurant Worker's Relief Fund

As everyone is already aware, restaurants in many cities have been forced to shut their doors for an undetermined amount of time. As a band-aid solution, we here at Luthun have decided to "lay off" all of our employees so that they could at least collect unemployment. This may seem like a cruel move, but restaurants run on a razor thin margin and especially when you are near your one year mark, there isn't much left in reserves. We cannot afford to pay our people. 

The tough part is that our entire sector has been hit in a similar fashion. There are an estimated 300,000 food service employees that are now out of work and trying to file for unemployment. This has caused the state run website to crash all week. None of them can even collect money. So waiving the 7 day waiting period didn't even help. On top of that, the amount that they will receive will only be around $300 / week. Bills will definitely not get paid, this is barely enough for food, medicine and other essentials. 

We are asking all of our friends, family, previous guests and their social circles to please help us out in this dire moment. If you can spare anything at all, please do. We literally don't see any glimmer of hope.  The amount isn't very much. We just want to make sure that all of our employees can eat and keep essential bills paid for.
