Sophia Manco: Summer in France

Dear Friends and Family,
I am currently a Junior at South Side High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. I was accepted by the Indiana University Honors Program Foreign Language to study abroad this summer in St. Brieuc, France. I will live with a host family, speak only French, take 4 classes daily, and travel to other French towns and cities. This program through IU will cost $4,000 for tuition, airfare and living expenses. The first payment for this trip is $1,500. I am babysitting and applying for scholarships to pay for the rest.
My reason for requesting your help is because without it, my trip would be impossible and I would miss out on a truly life-changing experience. I am relying on this foreign language program to help me gain independence, leadership skills, improve my French speaking, and help me to pursue my passion for traveling and an international career.
