On Tuesday September 20th, as Nicole was crossing the street she was fatally struck by a car. Nicole was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was loved and will be missed by many.

I am fundraising on behalf of Lupita Ayala, Nicole’s mother and her family. Lupita has been an employee at Tucson Unified school district for many years. She has supported our schools, children and families and many have spoken to and worked with Lupita, including myself.

Lupita has tragically and unexpectedly lost her daughter Nicole. As Lupita and her family begin to navigate this unbearable time, knowing that their loved one was taken far too early, we are asking for donations to go towards funeral and memorial expenses to help alleviate any financial burdens. It would be wonderful if we can pull together in supporting Lupita and her family to lay Nicole to rest. Any support during this hard, unimaginable time would be much appreciated.
