Thank you for continued prayers, we see the hand of Gods mercy and favor upon Lupe’s life. The second surgery on his arm is now effective. However as his surgeon explained, it is Lupes only life line and such has many risks. During his visit with Dr. Dickerman at Methodist Dallas, Lupe was encouraged to fill out transplant paperwork. We are currently waiting for appt to begin transplant evaluation. We ask for your prayers as Lupe will undergo extensive series of labs & exams at possibly 1-2 hospitals. Hence, the call to pray and plea for help in finding a living donor match.

1. Please pray the Lord to grant Lupe strength and good health as he endures dialysis 3 times weekly and goes thru upcoming medical evaluations.

2. Please pray for healing upon the removal of the chest port, March 6th.

3. Pray the Lord brings forth a matching living donor candidate.

Gracias por las continuas oraciones, vemos la mano de la misericordia y el favor de Dios sobre la vida de Lupe. La segunda cirugía en su brazo ahora es efectiva. Sin embargo, como explicó su cirujano, es la única línea de vida de Lupe y tiene muchos riesgos. Durante su visita con el Dr. Dickerman en Methodist Dallas, Lupe fue animado a llenar la documentación del trasplante. Actualmente estamos esperando una cita para comenzar la evaluación del trasplante. Le pedimos sus oraciones, ya que Lupe se someterá a una extensa serie de laboratorios y exámenes en posiblemente 1-2 hospitales. Por lo tanto, el llamado a rezar y pedir ayuda para encontrar una donantes vivo que sea de su mismo tipo de sangre.

1. Por favor, pedir al Señor que le conceda a Lupe fuerza y buena salud mientras hace diálisis 3 veces por semana y pasa por las próximas evaluaciones médicas.

2. Por favor, orar por la curación al retirar el puerto torácico, el 6 de marzo.

3. Orar para que el Señor presente un candidato donante vivo que coincida.

Que Dios los bendiga a todos por su amor y sus fieles oraciones.

Thank you for your prayers and kindness in supporting the Mendoza family. Apologies for a lot has taken place in the past weeks and we are just now able to update you, our beloved Coach Lupe Mendoza had to undergo a second surgery Wednesday, January 4th. As the previous fistula on his wrist was not functional. After seeking a secondary opinion, the Lord in His mercy provided an excellent vascular surgeon who knew Lupe needed immediate medical attention. Please be in prayer that this secondary surgery will be effective and ready for use by mid Feburary. As we are racing against time with the existing temporary port in place. We covet your prayers in lifting this sweet family up before the throne of God, as they seek the Lord for guidance in many more decisions to come. The dialysis has been difficult for our brother in the faith and the process has begun for kidney transplant list at UTSW. We hope to soon be on the list in Oklahoma as well. As per our new vascular surgeon, a new kidney is what Lupe truly needs. God bless you all in Jesus name, Amen.

Disculpas por muchas cosas que han tenido lugar en las últimas semanas y justo ahora podemos poner al día, que nuestro querido entrenador Lupe Mendoza tuvo que someterse a una segunda cirugía el miércoles, 4 de enero. Ya que la fístula anterior en su muñeca no funciono. Después de buscar una opinión secundaria, el Señor en Su misericordia proporcionó un excelente cirujano vascular que entendió que Lupe necesitaba atención médica inmediata. Por favor, oren para que esta segunda cirugía sea efectiva y esté lista para uso a mediados de Febrero. Ya que estamos cortos de tiempo con el puerto temporal existente en su pecho. Deseamos sus oraciones para elevar a esta familia ante el trono de Dios, mientras buscan la guía del Señor en muchas más decisiones por venir. La diálisis ha sido difícil para nuestro hermano en la fe y el proceso ha comenzado para la lista de trasplantes de riñón en UTSW. Esperamos estar pronto en la lista en Oklahoma también. Según nuestro nuevo cirujano vascular, un nuevo riñón es lo que Lupe necesita. Que Dios los bendiga a todos en el nombre de Jesús, Amén.

Lupe Mendoza, also known as Coach Mendoza, recently faced a prolonged hospital stay due to renal failure. His recovery path will be a challenging one, with the need for dialysis treatment three days a week and a kidney transplant on the horizon. While the transplant is not immediate and will take some time to prepare for and arrange, Lupe will rely on dialysis until then. The financial burden of hospital bills, ongoing treatments, and essential living expenses is substantial.

Lupe has been a dedicated coach to numerous athletes over the years from Frank Seale and Midlothian High School, and his impact on the community goes beyond measure. Currently, he coaches both his sons' baseball teams, and his commitment to developing young talent has left a lasting impression. Many of the players' families he has coached have reached out, eager to give back to Coach Mendoza in this challenging time, as he has selflessly dedicated so much of his time and energy to their children's growth and development.

Managing renal failure is an ongoing and costly process. Lupe and his family are not only dealing with the emotional toll of his condition but also the financial burden of hospital bills, dialysis, and other related expenses. We believe that no one should have to face such a situation alone.
