Our community has lost one of its noblest members and words cannot describe this kind and joyful son of God. Johnson Dontong was a respectful man who never forgot where he came from. He was taken from us in a very tragic incident this week. He was brutally murdered in his West Los Angeles apartment and his body was wrapped up insidiously in bedsheets and left on his bed by the perpetrators. While the law enforcement continues to investigate the case, everyone in our community, including his neighbors and friends, is deeply saddened and baffled as to why someone would take the life of this innocent, young man who was only trying to better his life and to continue to support his family back home in Cameroon.

This fund has been set up to raise money to help Johnson's family with the burden of this devastating loss. With your support, the donations will be used to help cover the funeral and memorial costs, to send the body of Johnson back to Cameroon, and to help transition Johnson's family, which depended on him financially. Please assist the Dontong family in this most difficult time of need. Every little bit helps. Johnson was an examplar to our community and brought joy to everyone he met.
