My name is Patti Carr and I am fundraising for my brother who has had terrible health issues and is dealing with mounting medical bills in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. He cannot work due to his multiple heart surgeries; therefore, he cannot make money or pay these bills. He has had open-heart surgery with a stent and double bypass at age 48, had another stent put in at age 57, had a widow maker STEMI heart attack in 2023, and died on the way to the hospital but was revived. Now, at age 60, he just had another heart surgery with another stent and bypass. None of our family have lived past the age of 60, and he is now 60. He tries to maintain a full-time job, but his health prevents him from doing so. He is too young to collect Social Security and disability was not offered by his job and is trying to get approved by the State-but it’s been a month and nothing. . He has just also been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease as well. You can’t imagine the medications, surgeries, and expensive, massive medical bills he has incurred. He does not even own a home; he is now living with me and my husband as he cannot afford to live on his own. It is heartbreaking to see a once vibrant man begin to have all these issues come up. I wish I could help him financially, but I cannot, and I am the only family he has left.
