Double Lung Transplant for Deborah Longfellow

Our Ask for Help.
My mother has been battling Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease for years now and has been recommended as a candidate for a lung transplant. She is currently in the evaluation phase of the Lung Transplant program. One of the last hurdles she needs to clear before being put on the active wait list is raising money for the Post-Transplant Phase. She will need to live very close to the hospital for about a month after the transplant. The money we are asking for will help pay for an apartment or hotel for that time. It will also help pay for things like money for transportation and groceries while she is away from home. Without this money she will not be approved for the lung transplant.

More about Deborah
She is 55 years old with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Her favorite past time is spending time with those grandchildren. As they have gotten bigger and faster, her disease has weakened her by just as much. The goal of the lung transplant would be to give her a better quality of life and to be able to play with her grandkids again.
