Hello!

My name is Dexter, and there are a couple things you should know about me; first, is that I’m the bestest most handsome boi in the universe, and I know that has to be true, because my mom tells me so every single day. The second thing you should know is we just found out I have LUNG CANCER.

But the GOOD NEWS ….they say it can be “curative” if we remove a lobe from my lung ASAP. So far, the cancer is just isolated to the one lobe and has not spread…..YET...

As you know, with these things, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, and it was only by chance that we found the cancer this early, while I was undergoing some other medical tests. We kind of feel like my other medical issue (now resolved) was a blessing in disguise so we could find the cancer and SAVE MY LIFE. They can get me in for surgery as early as next week, but we need to secure the finances first.

That being said, my medical expenses so far to get to this point have been > $9,000 CAD and the doctors tell my mom the surgery will be another $11,000 CAD. Add those together and that’s a LOT of milk bones….. We just don’t have that many more right now, and my mom is pretty sad about it. She wants to do everything she can to save my life because she calls me her soul dog. I THINK WE ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER FOR A WHILE YET, so we are asking for some help.

Every little bit helps, as there will be vet costs, travel expenses (travel to Vancouver to see a specialist [again]) and recovery needs. My Mom always tells me "No Begging !" , but I feel like maybe this once it’s justified. If you can help save my life, my mom and I would be forever grateful. And if all you can do is share this so it might reach someone who can, we are equally grateful for your love and support!
