Lunches for BSD7 School Staff
Some of our teachers are hurting and worried, as COVID19 continues to spread pretty much unchecked in Gallatin County. Now that the elementary schools have been open full time (full classses without enough physical distancing or support for teachers and staff), some are very stressed. This won't fix the problem, but maybe we can send some smiles to our local schools, letting them know that we see them and care about them!
Starting the week of 11/9, we will be sending lunch to ALL staff at BDS7 schools. We will feed 1-2 schools per day, including all 8
elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high schools, and the special day schools.
As food restrictions are tight, there will not be any buffet or platter type meals. We will source local restaurants to provide individually packaged lunches!
The first successful lunch delivery was on 11/3, and it went to the Willson to our BSD7 admin offices. They enjoyed several selections from Fink's Deli (locally owned and sourced delicatessen with very high-quality sandwiches, owners also own Wild Crumb).
Any extra funds received will be donated to BSD7 schools in the form of PPE such as disinfectant wipes, gloves, and hand sanitizer.
It is a small way we can show the educators and staff our appreciation and support during this difficult time.
