Luna’s medical bills and treatment
Donation protected
This is Luna, she’s 2.5 years old. She is the sweetest little girl you’d ever meet and is family. In the past few weeks she was not acting herself. Turns out she was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. This heartbreaking aggressive illness causes her blood cells attack each other causing a very low red blood cell count. Her blood count was low they feared she wouldn’t make it to the end of the month. The side effects of having low red blood cells is fatigue, loss of breath, high heart rate, high strain on the respiratory system, loss of appetite, and eventually causes death. The chance of survival is 20-40%.
Her update: she had blood transfusion. She’s doing much better, eating the food the vets give her, her blood cell count is above the minimum but not quite at the normal level, she’s acting more like herself, more playful and alert, definitely more energy.
She is staying at vet until she’s stable enough to come home. Any amount of donation to go towards helping out with her medical bills and medications would help out greatly to try and get this little girl back to good health so we don’t lose her. She will most likely have to be on medications for the rest of her life. We would appreciate anything to help.
