We received a worrying message from our daughter a week ago: "I don't know what is going on. Luna doesn't sleep, and she can't stand on her back legs". This was the worst night for Rebecca. She did not sleep trying to help Luna. Rebecca took a day off work and early in the morning was waiting at the vet's clinic even before the opening time. The vet's consultation was not optimistic - Luna's spine discs are damaged, and she needs urgent surgery or alternatively putting down. But she is only 6 years old next week!!! The preliminary cost of the treatment was £10500. Rebecca was in tears. She is a single mum, fights every day to pay bills, and to provide a better life for her and her teenage daughter. In addition, she is now facing a huge bill for Luna's treatment.

Rebecca contacted pets charities, and they said they didn't have any vet clinics in our area or nearby.

Rebecca went to another vet clinic, where she was offered to get Luna's treatment for a more affordable £5500 price. Luna's insurance covered £4000. Rebecca and her family paid the rest £1500 towards Luna's surgery.

4 days ago, Luna got surgery. The surgery went well. We were hoping that in a few days Rebecca could take Luna home. Unfortunately, Luna's body temperature is very high, and she doesn't feel well. Vets said she needs to stay in the clinics for intensive care and has to be looked after by professionals. From today, vets will charge Rebecca £500 daily for Luna's stay in the clinic. She is broken, she can't eat or sleep, she is depressed. Rebecca desperately needs your support to pay for Luna's hospitalisation costs.
