Luna's Journey to Healing Needs Your Help

Donation protected
My name is Alyssa. This isn’t about me tho, it’s about my a soon to be one year old English bulldog, Luna whom I adore more than anything in this world. Recently she had an accident which has caused her to limp occasionally. Xrays were taken and later confirmed that she has dislocated her knee cap along with a tear. I know accidents happen but this has put a damper on her quality of life due to it now it’s affecting her hips. The referral was sent to Cornell from Stacks Vet and Cornell gave me an estimate for roughly 7/9k for the procedure alone. I’m asking for 10k just in case something else comes up, I hope everyone understands. Once her procedure gets closer I do plan on getting a CareCredit card to also help with the expenses of her procedure. CareCredit has a APR rate of 39% if not paid in full in a certain time. I’m a single dog mom just trying to survive in this world this has hurt me financially but she is worth very cent. When getting her I unfortunately did not get any pet insurance and if I were to apply to anything now; everything would be considered “pre-existing” which isn’t covered. I’m normally not the type to ask for any help but my baby girl will appreciate anything that comes our way. We are greatly appreciative of all the love and support we have gotten during this time. Much love ♥️

3/20/25. Update. My referral from Stacks that was sent to Cornell was marked as “non urgent.”  I’ve called Cornell to see when they would call to set up an appointment to get things rolling and apparently “non-urgent” clients aren’t being called till May or June and with her knee just getting worse, I needed to explore other options. Stacks recommended that Luna should get her airways opened up prior to getting her knee done and unfortunately they can’t do both procedures at once. I did find a vet that can see her for her nasal passages as soon as April 8th with hopes of surgery being scheduled not too far after that.
I also found a vet in Utica that Luna can be seen at for her knee and they can get her in ASAP. So as soon as she is cleared from her airways being opened up I will set up something for her knee. The vet located in Utica hasn’t given me any written estimates but the lady on the phone did go in great detail on how they do things and also gave me a rough estimate which is ALOT cheaper than Cornell. That’s why I lowered the amount. I’m just trying to get things set up for my babygirl before the last minute so I hope you all understand. Luna and I love all of you and appreciate you all. The only thing that has put a damper on things has been her knee and we appreciate all the love, advice and donations we have received thus far. ♥️
