Hello friends,

On Sunday, July 20th, I had to take my dog Luna to the emergency vet due to her not being able to stand up on her own. We tried to get her to stand before I took her, but she would just plop over. I took her to Bond Urgent Care, and they immediately noticed something was wrong. It was neurological and needed to be seen in the emergency room as soon as possible. As soon as I arrived, the nurse also tried to get her to stand and was unable to. She was seen by neurology and was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). With surgical intervention, she has a chance of being able to walk again and be fully functional. Unfortunately, because the surgery is so much money, we are doing pain management. I never ask anyone for anything, but Luna is my little baby, and seeing her not able to move and jump or even use the bathroom on her own is breaking my heart. She doesn't even bark anymore. She's only 6 years old - she has so much life left to live.
