Luna's Emergency ACL Surgery
Donation protected
Hi! I need your help! My sister (Emely) and I (Vanessa) are fundraising to raise enough money for Luna’s ACL Surgery. Our beloved family dog Luna tore her ACL on her right hind leg and is now in extreme pain. Her surgery is expected to be extremely expensive, and unfortunately, we are going through some financial hardships and cannot raise most of the money. While I never tend to ask for help, I cannot bear to see Luna in pain. I ask that if you can donate, please help, even if it’s a dollar. And or repost if possible. She is my best friend and, honestly, the sweetest, kindest dog. Everyone knows her around our neighborhood & she loves everyone. Please donate if you can. All donations will go directly to her surgery and treatment. Surgery costs $3,000-10,000, not including rehabilitation, anesthesia, X-rays and vet bills.
Thank you!
Meet Luna! Luna is an adopted black Labrador Retriever weighing approximately 47-55lbs of licks and love that must be spread.
When my family and I found Luna at a shelter in NC, we had just had our previous family dog pass away. Having never actually lost a pet like this before, we were distraught. I don’t ever think it stops hurting. However, on that day, while visiting family, we decided to go to a shelter to take a look. And there we found Luna or, as previously called, Ichi. Luna was the tiniest puppy who had just undergone surgery. She, along with her sister, had been surrendered to the shelter. Her sister was adopted. While an adorable puppy, Luna did not get up for anyone because of her recent surgery. However, when we went in to see her, she came up to us and wagged her tail so much we had to get her to stop.
(One thing Luna has never been able to learn to do.) From then on, we decided to adopt Luna, our crazy, zoomies-filled emotional support pupper.
While Luna is not an official emotional support dog, Luna 199999.999% would be the best emotional support dog ever. Luna always knows when something is wrong.
If you cry in front of her, she will not leave you alone until she has licked the whole surface of your face. She often knows when someone is sick and will lie down next to you, ensuring her head is on your leg or paw so you know she is there. She has even somehow learned to communicate (with the doggy language) any of her needs and frustrations about only getting one treat. She even communicates with babies
Recently Luna tore her ACL after going on a walk and having too many zoomies. Her Right Hind Leg was affected, and the vet advised us that she would need surgery for her to be able to use her leg properly to walk or run. She winces when she lays down and cries at night because she’s in pain. It breaks my heart to think she’s in pain, and we cannot help. We have ordered and purchased a Brace for her leg and the pain and inflammatory medications to help ease some of her pain until she can get the surgery.
So I ask if anyone can donate even a dollar or help with Luna’s surgery fundraiser even if you just repost it or send it to your friends and family, we would be extremely grateful. Everyone who has met her know that she is the friendliest loving dog and does not deserve to be in pain. So please, if you can help in any way, I will be highly thankful, and so will our Luna.
Luna and my baby Nephew.
