For anyone who doesn’t know us personally, my fiancé and I own the sweetest 4-year-old Boston Terrier named Luna. She has become the joy of our lives, and it’s hard to remember life before her. Our goofy, energetic girl was recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at an extremely abnormal and young age. In the past two months, she has experienced severe health complications due to this diagnosis. We have had numerous blood panels, stool samples, urinalysis cultures, and abdominal ultrasounds to determine her condition. Our vet is estimating she has lost approximately 75% of her kidney function at this point. This January and February were particularly rough, as Luna had bouts of severe vomiting and diarrhea, bleeding when urinating, and she has begun to lose her ability to hold her bladder and is frequently having accidents in our apartment. I have been hesitant to ask for help with this, but we are a few thousand dollars deep at this point, and she still needs more medical attention. Being that she’s so young, we want to try to be as proactive as we can be at this point to prevent any further kidney damage and keep her comfortable. I’m asking for help so that we can manage her care and keep a roof over our heads during this financial hardship. Anything, even a share, is greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time in reading this.
