Hi friends,

As most of you know, my dog, Luna, is my BEST friend. She has been with me through a divorce, a separation, getting sober, the loss of my Dad, and so much more. She has traveled the state with me and is the best travel buddy, snack-eatin', movie-watchin', "walkies" doggie that I could have ever asked for. She is my SOUL DOG.

Recently, Luna has been "knuckling" on her front paws. I took her to the vet today and they suspect a neurological issue, which requires a neurology consultation ($255) and deeper imaging (MRI or CT scan, which can be between $3,000.00-$8,000.00 estimated). I realize that she is a 10-year-old pup, but other than what we are suspecting neurologically, she is in very good health—still begging for food and treats, wanting to play with other dogs, etc. She can barely walk and has a consultation with a neurologist next week.

I'm not sure how to proceed with these appointments because despite my best efforts at saving money and having a "savings account," these are the kind of expenses you just can't plan for.

I'm asking for your help, to at least figure out what is going on with her, so I can get her the best treatment needed, and while I'm not sure she will make a full recovery, I want to at least have the opportunity to try.
