You folks are remarkable: Luna has been adopted!!!

We are trying to help a dying man in his 90s find a place for his 8-year-old Lab-Husky mix. We are fundraising for Luna, to get her a vet visit, the medical care we can see that she needs, physical therapy, and to support her medical care in a new home. Luna is morbidly obese. Her loving owner hasn't been able to walk with stability (and thus to walk her) for years. She has arthritis and hasn't seen a vet for years. She needs blood work and an assessment before we try to place her with someone who can care for her and nurse her back to health with a diet, arthritis, and pain medication, a therapeutic walking regime, some physical therapy, and love. It is a tall order. Unfortunately, her owner and his family cannot do this. It is not even clear how this gentleman's family will be able to fund his final expenses, let alone vet bills. But Luna can be treated and can live a good life with the right care. This campaign seeks to generate funds to care for her medically and to give her new foster or rescue the means to help her.
