Hi, my name is Sabrina and we are asking for your help to save our fur baby, Luna’s, life.
Our beautiful 2 year old cockapoo Luna has been diagnosed with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia) — a life-threatening condition where her own immune system is attacking her red blood cells. It came on suddenly, and in a matter of days she went from a vibrant, loving companion, to weak, not eating, and barely able to stand.
After rushing her to the emergency animal hospital on Wednesday August 6, 2025, Luna has required intensive testing, 24-hour hospitalization for going on 5 days, and 2 critical blood transfusions to save her life. The veterinary team is doing everything they can, and so am I — but the cost of care is overwhelming.
So far, her treatment has totaled over $10,000 CAD, and it may rise as she continues to need medication, blood monitoring, and additional blood transfusions.
We’ve paid everything we can so far and would do anything to give Luna the fighting chance she deserves. But we can’t do this alone. Luna is not just a pet — she’s our family. She’s been by our side through life’s ups and downs, and now we’re trying to be there for her during the biggest fight of her life.
If you are able to donate anything — even the smallest amount — it would mean the world. Every dollar goes directly to Luna’s life-saving medical care so we can bring her home and continue to treat her.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing her story. Your support, kindness, and prayers are deeply appreciated.
Luna is gentle, loving, and endlessly loyal. She’s the kind of dog that makes every walk a little brighter and every hard day a little softer. She’s still fighting, and I believe with the right care, she can pull through this.
Thank you for being a part of her fight.
With love and hope,
Sabrina, Daniele & Luna
