Hello, my name is Zara, and I frequently visit Prantl's Bakery on Grove Street in Greensburg. The staff there told me about a cat who had been abused and neglected by her previous owners and had been living on the streets for the past two years. I was heartbroken after hearing her story. At first, I was hesitant to take her in, but when I saw her lying on the sidewalk in 90-degree heat, I knew I had to help. I brought her home and named her Lulu.
From what I’ve learned, Lulu was physically neglected, starved, and kept in poor living conditions. The bakery staff had been feeding her and even tried to help with her fleas. I reached out to local veterinarians, but even the Humane Society has a long wait for appointments. So, I’ve decided to raise funds to cover her medical expenses out of pocket.
So far, I’ve provided Lulu with all the basic essentials. She currently has eye infections in both eyes, an ear infection, wheezing in her lungs (which I assessed using my stethoscope), and infections in two of her paw nail beds. She also only has 3 three teeth and can only eat wet foods. Currently also experiencing some bowel issues with vomiting.
All donations will go directly toward Lulu’s veterinary care. Any leftover funds will help pay for pet insurance and future emergency vet visits, which can cost thousands. Every dollar will be used for her medical needs, food, a proper litter box, and anything else to keep her safe and comfortable.
I’ve decided to keep Lulu, but I truly need your help. If you’ve seen her lying outside Prantl’s or wandering the streets, you know she deserves a safe, stable, and loving home—something she has never had until now.Going to the vet is expensive let a lone an emergency visit for a cat could occur anywhere from a few thousand dollars. All funds are 100% going directly towards lulus vet expenses, basic essentials, food, a nicer liter box, and anything to keep her comfortable. Any left over funds will be kept for her future. I decided I am going to keep her but I do need everyone's help. I am sure you have seen Lulu laying in front of prantls or wondering the streets for a while, its finally time she has a safe stable and loving home. She is safe now and is being loved unconditionally.
