The Diaz family’s world changed very suddenly when mother and wife, Lulu suffered a major stroke in the left hemisphere of her brain. Their family has been working tirelessly with the doctors trying to find the right answers and best care for Lulu as she fights so bravely for this next chapter of her life. Mama Lulu has proved her strength time and time again and has raised her children with the same will to never give up. In her 59 years of life, she proudly wears the pink ribbon badge of cancer survivor, she has been a loving figure to hundreds of patients living in the nursing home where she’s worked for over 20 years. As a devout child of God, she has been a rock for her four children and honorable husband during times of change, loss and personal hardship. Along with coming to terms that we will never have our same witty, wise and compassionate Lulu, who always had the right things to say for life‘s many challenges, we are now faced with the uncertainty of her quality of life and the medical costs that go along with it.
