Luleki Sizwe Womyn's Project - Pride fundraiser

Donation protected
We are raising funds for Luleki Sizwe Womyn's Project (www.luleki-sizwe.com), a non-profit organization based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Founded by Ndumie Funda in 2008, Luleki Sizwe’s small team is fighting to help women -- primarily lesbian, bisexual, and transsexual women -- survive domestic and sexual assaults, “corrective rape,” harassment, and other violent hate crimes.
"No child abuse! Kunjalo!" (Kunjalo = "It's like that!")

Luleki Sizwe provides shelter and a safe house for victims, along with medical care and other support across ten South African township communities.

The money raised in this campaign is to help fund the purchase of Luleki Sizwe’s safe house, located in Cape Town’s Symphony Village. Additional funds will help the organization secure a mobile-phone contract and Internet/data service.

Luleki Sizwe’s mission is to:

- PROVIDE a safe house and medical care for victims.

- STOP corrective rape, sexual assault and hate crimes.

- SUPPORT and reach out to lesbians, who have been forced out of their homes for their sexual orientation and HIV/AIDS status.

- HELP the less fortunate people in our communities with food, clothes, and other vital necessities.

Luleki Sizwe needs your help. Founder Ndumie and her team rely on donations, volunteers, and other contributions. The money you donate will be spent directly for supporting victims with shelter, medical care, clothes, and food. We urgently need money for a safe house.
