It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the sudden loss of our dear friend, family and community member Ms. Lula Vive, who joined the ancestors on Wednesday morning, July 28.
My name is Julie Crawford (aka Jujub) and Lula was one of my closest friends. I am setting up this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of Lula's final arrangements and to support her family with related expenses during this difficult time. Her passing was an unexpected loss, and they are not financially prepared for this, as Lula (also known to some as Frankie Vaz) didn’t have insurance to support covering the cost.
Our precious Lula was one-of-kind—she loved unconditionally with a heart as big as the sun and had a personality that could shine equally as bright. She always knew how to make you laugh and loved living life to the fullest, showing up 100% authentically and unapologetically herself. As a now legendary entertainer at Club One Jefferson in Savannah, she gave everything to her performances because she loved the stage and loved spending time with the Club One girls. Her friends, family, and community (including her fans) meant the world to her, and she will be missed by so many who loved her dearly.
If you can find it in your heart to donate whatever you can to take some of the financial burden off her family and make sure that her final wishes are met, it would be such a blessing. Every little bit helps, no amount is too little.
