My name is Joel and I am a close friend of Luke Sprenger and the family. Luke is a hard working proud man and his family, that consists of his wife Betty and his 3 young boys have had their world turned upside down.
The Sprengers own a cattle ranch near Elgin and Luke also drives semi truck. One day while out checking cattle Luke fell from the 4 wheeler and blacked out. That was the beginning. Luke continued to have headaches and blurred vision while trying to finish out the anhydrous season. While in Nebraska he ended up in the hospital for a couple of days with no diagnosis.
After a couple weeks in the truck the pain was so unbearable they went in for a checkup. They were immediately checked into Sanford hospital where Luke was diagnosed with a delayed brain hemorrhage and had to have the blood drained to ease the swelling. Due to the amount of blood and swelling his brain shifted causing vertigo and not being able to have proper function of his legs.
After a scary week in ICU and some physical therapy, Luke was then sent home, not near capable of handling the work load of the ranch or trucking. Betty has been trying to keep the ranch on track and make sure that Luke gets the help he needs to recover.
Unexpectantly Luke had a relapse while at the ranch and had to be airlifted to Mayo Clinic. There was more bleeding that needed to controlled and a full body gout attack that caused unbearable full body pain and immobility. Thanks to the great doctors at Mayo they got the bleeding under control and pain managable.
The Sprengers have just gotten back home!
I am setting up this page to assist this great family with a little extra help that may ease their finacial struggle that was caused by this unpredictable situation.
Any amount that you can donate to this family would be appreciated by myself and by the family of this hard working family. They are always there to help others when in need so its our turn now to help them.
Thank you!
