Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Preslar and I am starting this for my husband Luke. Luke was diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma on April 4 of this year. He underwent 2 rounds of chemo and has surgery to remove the tumor on June 30. The surgery will be on his knee but also will include the calf muscle being flipped into the knee and a skin graft taken from his thigh. The recovery will be 2-3 months, and he will be out of work that whole time. Unfortunately, there is no short-term disability offered during that time. Luke is our main source of income, so this hits us heavily as a family. While I do work full-time, it is not enough to cover all of our bills during Luke's recovery. We appreciate any little bit that anyone can give during this time!
