Our baby boy, Luke, was born at 25 weeks and 5 days, weighing just 860 grams, and he is now in the NICU fighting through a long journey. After I had PPROM, I was hospitalized for two weeks. On 9/10/26, Luke’s heart rate started dropping and then coming back up on the monitor. Because he was in a transverse position, I had to have an emergency C-section. I was also life-flighted to Tacoma General Hospital, and everything happened so fast. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life. Right now, both Luke’s dad and I are doing everything we can to be there for our little guy. We are scared for him, and leaving his NICU room brings so much guilt and heartbreak. All we can do is pray for the best and hold on to faith that everything will be okay. The funds raised will help us with gas to drive back-and-forth so we can see Luke as well as cover remaining hospital bills. These expenses are adding up during a time when our focus needs to be on our baby and his care. If we make it to $12000 and have funds left after covering our family’s needs, we would like to donate the remaining amount to the NICU where our baby boy is receiving care. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help our family through this long road ahead. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to us. Thank you for supporting Luke and our family during this difficult time.
