On August 29th, Luke’s life changed forever. What started as a trip to the hospital for a severe headache and feeling “off” quickly turned into a devastating diagnosis — stage 4 melanoma.

In a matter of days, Luke and his family’s world was flipped upside down. Doctors discovered three tumors in his brain, one of which required immediate brain surgery to remove. Just four weeks later, the news worsened — nine more tumors had developed, and one of the original ones had grown three times its size. Luke is now undergoing radiation treatment for the tumors in his brain, and he will soon begin radiation treatments on his shoulder, in addition to ongoing immunotherapy and medications.

In addition to the tumors in his brain, doctors have found tumors in his lungs and multiple bone lesions that cause him immense, constant pain. He's also receiving ongoing immunotherapy and medications as he fights this aggressive cancer head-on.

Luke is a devoted father to five amazing kids, and a friend to everyone who knows him. His strength and kindness make him someone people naturally gravitate toward. Right now, as he fights for his health, he’s unable to work and needs our support more than ever.
