Luke's Medical & Funeral Expenses

Luke went home to be with Jesus on May 2nd, please help support the family financially during this extremely difficult time.  No parent should ever have to lay their child to rest.  

This page was created so that friends and family could help support Luke and his family with medical bills and other living expenses while Luke is in the hospital. 

Luke began running fever and throwing up on April 17th and was taken to his pediatrician who ran some tests and thought it was a virus.  He was sent home that day but at 2am he began throwing up blood and was rushed to the ER, he was diagnosed with an upper GI bleed and possible bowel obstruction/ischemia.  He went into respiratory failure and was taken by ambulance to Medical City Children's Hospital.  At that point he was already septic, the Dr's performed exploratory surgery to see if there was a perforation of the bowel, obstruction or ischemia.  They did not find anything.  He has improved daily but it's all been a mystery as to what caused all of this.  Some of his markers are going back up indicating that there is still an infection so they think it is his bowels. CT with contrast showed possible abcesses in the intestines.  His antibiotics have been changed to 2 broad spectrum medications to cover all kinds of bacteria.  If he is no better in a few days he will have to undergo another exploratory surgery.  

He is a very sick baby and could use your prayers. 

Mary and Jeff have been at the hospital with him since last Monday so they are unable to work but their regular bills as well as the medical bills continue to come in.   If you are able to help financially in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
