My name is Thomas. Today, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to create this GoFundMe page, a task no one ever hopes to undertake. I've established this fundraiser in loving memory of my friend, Luke, and to support his family - his partner Lauren, their children, and his parents. The heartbreak began with Luke's disappearance, and after an agonising search of nearly four weeks, our deepest fears were realised on the 19th of November: Luke was found, having tragically passed away.

Luke played many vital roles in his life: a beloved son, a supportive brother, a devoted partner, a loving father, and a treasured friend. His sudden departure has created an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.

Following Luke's passing, numerous people expressed their desire to help. They enquired about setting up a fund to assist with the funeral costs and to provide support for Lauren and the children during this challenging time. After heartfelt conversations with Lauren and Paul, Luke's father, they gratefully accepted this gesture of kindness and support.

This initiative won't diminish the profound loss felt, but it aims to alleviate some of the immediate financial burdens and concerns they face in the wake of this life-altering event.
