Luke was born on Monday, June 24, 2019 to the joyful parents of Lacee and Todd Wall. His big brother, Jackson (7), and big sister, Tatum (4), are extremely excited to have their new baby brother. In his first 24 hours, he seemed healthy. However, at his newborn health screening, they found some issues that landed him in the NICU.
Originally, they believed he had PPHN (persistent pulmonary hypertension in a newborn). He has been in the NICU at Covenant Women’s and Children’s receiving treatment since Tuesday night. His diagnosis recently changed and they believe he has pulmonary hypertension instead of the newborn condition. Pulmonary hypertension requires more specialized care than PPHN. He was air flighted to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Ft. Worth to receive care from pediatric cardiac specialists in the NICU.
We don’t know what the future holds or how long this journey will be. We just know that we have a long road ahead.
Luke’s family and friends are organizing this fundraiser to help Lacee and Todd with medical expenses and other related costs. Even if you are unable to donate financially, prayers and sharing this fundraiser are greatly appreciated!
”When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
