Luke Newsome's Apache project

As many of you know in January this year, we lost Luke unexpectedly in an accident while attending Summernats with his mates. The family once again had to deal with the death of another son, and amazing friend.

His friends will know in Luke's spare time he was rebuilding his cherished Chevy Apache Pickup. Hot pink/purple in colour that suited his character to a tee. He couldn't wait to get his "chick magnet" on the road with his arm out of the window cruisin.

Rebuilding Luke's car has now become my parents in laws priority to finish it on his behalf. Throughout the majority of the year, most Wednesday nights a group of us work on the car. The goal is to have it completed by Luke's anniversary in January. We are setting up this page to raise money to go towards restoring the car, (panel beating, parts, interior etc). All funds will be given to Ray and Lesley (Luke's parents) as they are funding the build. After discussions with some of Luke's friends who agreed this would be a nice gesture as they couldn't assist mechanically, they would like to contribute financially knowing they helped Luke's dream come true.

We are hoping to keep this a secret from Luke's parents. Once the Pickup is completed we would love everyone to join us for a car cruise.
